About the Author

Michael L. Forehand
Author • Veteran • Writing about faith, identity, and what remains when strength is no longer enough.

Michael “Mike” Forehand is a retired military senior leader and faith-based author whose writing explores the deeper questions of identity, suffering, faith, and purpose.

After more than two decades of military service, Mike spent much of his career leading people in environments where clarity, discipline, and responsibility were essential. Military life trains leaders to anticipate problems, develop plans, and carry the weight of decisions that affect others. Strength, preparation, and control are not simply ideals—they are necessities.

But life eventually introduces moments that cannot be solved through preparation or leadership alone.

Through personal experience and reflection, Mike came to recognize that some of life’s most defining seasons arrive without warning and without easy answers. Illness, transition, uncertainty, and loss have a way of exposing what we truly believe about faith, control, and identity.

These moments became the foundation for his writing.

Mike’s books explore the intersection of faith and real life—particularly the seasons when certainty disappears and deeper questions emerge. Rather than offering formulas or easy solutions, his work invites readers to wrestle honestly with the challenges of trust, suffering, identity, and spiritual growth.

Drawing from years of leadership, personal trials, and thoughtful reflection, Mike writes for readers who are navigating difficult transitions, confronting uncertainty, or seeking a deeper understanding of faith when life does not unfold as expected.

His writing speaks especially to those who have spent years carrying responsibility for others—leaders, veterans, professionals, and individuals who are accustomed to strength—but who eventually discover that some seasons of life require something different: humility, patience, surrender, and faith that continues even when understanding does not come easily.

Mike’s work does not attempt to remove the difficulty of life’s storms. Instead, it explores what remains when the structures we depend on are tested.

He continues to write books focused on faith, resilience, identity, and the search for meaning in life’s most difficult seasons.

Mike lives with his wife and remains committed to writing that encourages thoughtful reflection, honest faith, and deeper trust in God through every season of life.
